Dr Kristóf Ferenczi  is a Partner of Kinstellar located in Kinstellar’s Budapest office, and is the firm-wide head of Kinstellar’s Energy practice. He has substantial experience in energy industry related transactions, including transactions in the electricity, natural gas and district heating sectors, the implementation of major conventional power plant projects and renewable energy development projects, as well as advising on national and European energy regulatory issues and energy policy matters. In addition, he has also gained considerable experience in the field of private M&A and privatisation transactions. He is an arbitrator of the Permanent Court of Arbitration for Energy and has extensive experience in advising on energy sector related contentious matters, including international and domestic arbitration matters, litigation and mediation, in particular in the electricity and natural gas sectors.

Kristóf has built up a sterling reputation on the market, as evidenced by his recognition as a Band 1 practitioner (Chambers Europe) and as a “Leading individual” (Legal 500) in energy law. He holds a degree in law from Eötvös Loránd University of Sciences, following which he pursued postgraduate studies for Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies in Business Law at the Robert Schuman University, Strasbourg, France. He is a member of the Budapest Bar. He speaks Hungarian, English, French and Italian.
